SERVICE+ Financial strengthening of Local Rural Organizations by increasing their capacity to provide paid services to their members

The project is fostering the cooperation between the local rural organization aiming to intensify their partnerships, both between them and with other actors in rural development. Intensive cooperation between the local rural organisations will enable exchange of knowledge and experience between the organisations. The project is financed as sub-grant from the by the EuropeAid project “National Rural Parliament as a voice of rural citizens” 151569/DD/ACT/MK executed by Connecting Natural Values and People Foundation (CNVP); Rural Development Network of Macedonia (RDN) and Action for Rural Development (ARD). Partner of the Project is the Association for sustainable development PELISTER – Rotino.

The main objective of the proposed intervention is to strengthen the organizational and financial management capacities of the local rural organization, resulting in financial sustainability of the organizations.

The strengthening of the financial capacities of the local rural organization through provision of training in financial management will be followed with development of several packages of services that will be delivered to their members. It is expected that the delivery of high quality services to the members will directly have positive influence on the improvement of the livelihood of the members of the organisaitons and the members will be willing and ready to pay for the received services.

The project will raise the awareness about the importance of the role of the local rural organization in provision of quality services for their members and strengthen the capacities of the local rural organization to deliver high quality demand-driven services to their members. Demand orientation ensures that the delivered services meet the expressed needs of the members of the local rural organisations, identified through the needs-analyses that will be conducted within the frame of the project. It is envisaged that provision of high quality services will enable income generation for the organisations, directly contributing to their improved financial stability.
